I got the chance to share my Quantified Self story at this week’s London Meetup. I talked about how I use digital time capsules like Timehop to resurface some of my archived personal data. I also talked about my family history of self tracking and genealogy. Tracking and reflecting on that data gives me a sense of time, place, history, and context.
This hints at some of the things I’m looking at my thesis research about how the QS community is using data in a variety of ways like at the moment its captured and when its archived too. I’m also working out the question what motivates people to self-track.
Thanks to Ken for getting the video up so quickly!
